19th Century Home & Wine Cellar

This home has a history to it which convinced the homeowners to purchase it. When they undertook an 18-month renovation and addition project for the home, the husband chose a variety of wide plank floors––including red oak, American cherry, maple, and Brazilian cherry––for flooring he laid throughout the house with his son as an anniversary gift to his wife. Reclaimed Heart Pine on Kiawah Island

The homeowners of a beautiful beach house on Kiawah Island in South Carolina wanted a unique floor for their favorite getaway. They ultimately chose a combination of douglas fir and reclaimed heart pine engineered wide plank floors with a natural finish. This finish will allow these homeowners to play around with the decorating of the rooms in which the flooring is installed while the engineered nature of the wood provides the stability that they need in a beachside environment. Reclaimed White Oak Barn Wood Floor in Bucks County, PA

The homeowners in this case wanted a floor that most other mills would likely have trouble putting together––they wanted reclaimed white oak floors crafted from exterior barn wood only. The end result is truly remarkable. It features beautiful warm brown tones and the original patina of the reclaimed barnwood. View the project.

Rustic Prefinished White Oak Floors in Bryn Mawr

The Lynch family wanted a wide plank floor that would fit in perfectly with the rustic style they had already gone great lengths to cultivate with their home renovation efforts. They turned to Wide Plank Floor Supply and ultimately chose a completely custom live sawn prefinished white oak floor that perfectly complemented their interior design style. View the project.

The Starboard Restaurant’s New Hardwood Floors

The Starboard, a historic restaurant in Dewey Beach, Delaware, had a floor that was well-known and well-liked by the locals, and also well-worn. When it came time to have the floors ripped up and then re-installed, they turned to Wide Plank Floor Supply for help. The restaurant managers settled on 4” white oak paired with 2-¼” strips of walnut to create a visually striking floor with a ton of contrast. View the project.

Wide Plank and Partners Support Childhood Cancer Survivor

This was a heartwarming story. Young Kieran Walsh was diagnosed with a Wilm’s tumor and underwent chemotherapy as well as surgery on his lung. Kieran’s parents decided it would be best for Kieran’s health to replace the carpeting in their home with wood flooring, so we were happy to provide discounted 9” live sawn white oak floors to the project. The local apprentices at the Carpenter’s Joiners Apprentice Program generously donated their labor to install and finish the floors. View the project.
